A good advice for your practices

When you do your exercises about Pages for Training mark with a colored pencil the center of gravity and how the weight is distributed towards both ways representing a pointed line like in examples shown before.

Find the place that occupies the nose in the figure and strip the line down making a stop to the floor. Later draw the lines that mark the weight distribution.

Even still the figure is jumping or in complicated poses you should be capable to locate the center of gravity (unless your character floats o is flying, you understand, don’t you?)

Working materials:

We will know them in the moments that are necessary. For now these are more than enough. Take note:

- HB pencil or softer (try both of them and later decide. Remember that softer will dirty more).
We prefer the pencil mine 0,5 HB to avoid taking out the point frequently.

- A white erasure/plastic for pencil

- A moldable erasure. They are grey that look like putter. There good because they erase the pencil without harming the sheet and if you erase the ink it doesn’t affect so much.

- A ruler or a set square of approximately 30 cm. for now

Only for testing:

Some illustrators sketch with a 0,5 blue mine pencil. This color doesn’t reproduce in the impression and avoids erasing the pencil in the originals once there inked. Also, and this is a personal strict appreciation, it looks like it slides better over paper at the moment of drawing.

The contrary:

1- The pencil mine breaks easily. You have to press very softly over paper.
2- If you make a mistake it won’t allow you to erase

But, I suggest you pass through the experience and do the test to use it.
