Storytelling is to know how to tell it through drawings.

Generally you receive a script (except if you realize both tasks: write and draw) which it is a text that helps you as a base and where you find the actions, the dialogues of the characters, included comments in every cartoon and in some cases depending on the scriptwriter indications in reference to space: in which panel and in what kind of plane should it appear in each action and each character.

The comicbook artist conserves only the dialogues and the rest is translated in drawing. It’s easy but only in appearance.

You have to explain the story clearly, document yourself, show the right form of the characters, there attitudes and expressions, the appropriate illumination according to the climate and the effects in the composition of every panel and of the page in general.

You have to be capable of managing the graphic dramatization like who ever manages the knife and fork. The right use of planes, framing and visual angles adding the effects and page design will make your story have rhythm and impulse making the reader get inside the trauma and not run behind it.

The professional comicbook artist has to be capable -not only to solve- but to in rich the suggestions of the scriptwriter.
